Project Overview
Hereditas Archivum is a long-term cultural preservation initiative documenting the stories of Louisiana’s culture bearers — including musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians, social clubs, elders, historians, and more. Over the next 5–8 years, the project will film, transcribe, and safeguard 1,500 documentary interviews for future generations.
Mission Statement
To ensure that the voices, histories, and cultural knowledge of Louisiana communities are preserved, accessible, and protected for the next 300 years and beyond.
